KwikChex en la Conferencia de Asuntos del Consumidor y Normas Comerciales 2017

KwikChex, a Corporate Affiliate member of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI), will once again be exhibiting and presenting at the Consumer Affairs & Trading Standards Conference, which takes place in Harrogate at the end of June. This is the flagship event in the UK Trading Standards calendar, with exceptional attendance from experts across the consumer protection spectrum.

Our participation last year resulted in increased cooperation with Trading Standards Officers and other authorities that attended. We have been able to provide robust evidence for investigations and also resolutions for timeshare cases brought to us by TSOs and are working on joint initiatives that will help raise the level of consumer protection.

This year, the subject of our presentation on Tuesday 27 June will be – ‘Overcoming enforcement funding and resource problems when tackling rogues using the internet to deceive consumers’. This is a major issue for law enforcement officers and KwikChex has demonstrated how our specialist investigative capabilities can contribute to fighting internet-enabled crime. In addition, our work in proving that a case for enforcement action is necessary has also resulted in the provision of funding for such actions. This is an area which we have continued to expand upon to assist hard-pressed and under-funded law enforcement agencies.
