Social Language Processing & Identification To Improve Online Reviews Quality And Performance

The management of KwikChex and SLP-ID, the creators of Review Skeptic, a Social Language Processing detection system created by researchers at Cornell University, are assessing how they can combine their resources to spot fake reviews and accurately assess the true standards of businesses.

KwikChex Operations Director, Gemma Chatwood said “This is an exceptional opportunity to produce a leap forward that can benefit consumers, businesses and review sites alike. The problems with review fraud are well understood now, but are still growing. We believe that we can work together to help stop rogue businesses and trolls from abusing online reviews. It can really bolster the values of consumer feedback.”

The talks are centered on using Review Skepticʼs “Instant Review Evaluation” alongside KwikChex verification resources, including the latest quality assurance, initiative “Wow Business Listings”, which will only feature businesses that have a minimum of an 80%, authenticated customer satisfaction rating. The two systems will be able to learn from each other and continually improve performance.

The end result – a far more reliable cross check for consumers, better protection for reputable businesses against online defamation and distortion, and additional tools for reviews sites to improve reliability.

About Review Skeptic – a Social Language Processing & Identification (SLP-ID) software developed by academics at Cornell University. First tests showed a nearly 90% accuracy rate. SLP-ID offers multiple products for monitory, analysis, and analytics.
