ASA uphold another complaint against Paul Coleman

The UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) has upheld a complaint against Paul Coleman.

A complaint has been raised against website www.private-syndicate.co.uk, which encourages gambling as an alternative to employment. The complainant challenged the claims about the “100% Lifetime Money-Back Guarantee” of the VIP Inner Circle Service. After four months without making a profit, the complainant had requested a refund, but this refund had not been provided.

The ASA also challenged whether “the ad was socially irresponsible because it suggested that gambling was an alternative to employment and a way to achieve financial security.”

The ASA ruled that the ad must not appear again in its current form. That it “would be interpreted by consumers to mean that the gambling system offered by the advertiser could be an alternative to employment and a way to achieve financial security. We therefore concluded that the ad was socially irresponsible.”
